Royals manager Ned Yost said Tuesday that left-handed pitcher Brian Flynn would miss eight weeks because he fell through the roof of his barn in the days leading up to spring training.
Yost said Flynn broke a rib and sustained other injuries.
The Royals on Monday agreed to terms with free-agent left-hander Travis Wood on a two-year contract, pending a physical, that has not yet been made official.
