Royals hitters struggle against pitcher making his first MLB start in 5-0 loss to Brewers

In just his second MLB game, Brewers pitcher Chad Patrick kept the Royals off the board in a 5-0 Brewers win on Tuesday night. The Royals left nine runners on base and went 0-for-5 with runners in scoring position.

Patrick wasn’t exactly sharp, but the Royals had trouble bringing runners home against him. Maikel Garcia continued his hot hitting with a double in the second, followed by an MJ Melendez one-out walk, but they were stranded. Bobby Witt Jr. doubled in the third, but ended the inning still at second. Jonathan India was also stranded at second on a double in the fifth.
