Royals fans will not have to search the radio for the reigning World Series champions next season. On Wednesday, the team announced that it has reached a new four-year pact with 610 Sports Radio, keeping the station the familiar home of Kansas City's games.
The new pact extends through the 2019 season and will include all 162 of the Royals' regular-season games, plus any additional postseason contests. At least 20 Cactus League games will also be aired on 610 Sports Radio, a member of the Entercom Communications Corporation, during Spring Training.
"We not only take a lot of pride in what occurs on the playing field," Kevin Uhlich, the Royals' senior vice president of business operations said in a release, "but also who partners with us off the field and at the end of the day our organization has been very pleased with the Entercom partnership, specifically 610 Sports Radio, over the last eight seasons.
