Royals pitcher Dillon Gee, who has blood clots in his lungs and shoulder, reported positive news Friday morning, saying doctors “got the blood clot out of my vein.”
“Another step done, on to the next one!!,” Gee wrote on Instagram. “#keepthelinemoving #royals #PEstillthere #beastmodelungs #theywillgoaway”
Gee, 30, was shut down for the season after a scary incident in Detroit last weekend. After pitching 2 2/3 innings in a victory over the Tigers, Gee experienced shortness of breath and was taken to a nearby hospital instead of flying home with the team.
