KANSAS CITY -- Former Royals outfielder Lorenzo Cain homered upon his return to Kauffman Stadium, and Travis Shaw added a three-run shot as the Brewers won their seventh straight with a 5-2 victory in the series opener on Tuesday night.
In his first game this season after being activated from the disabled list, Royals catcher Salvador Perez homered, and also threw out a would-be basestealer in the ninth.
Perez homers in 2018 debut Royals starter Ian Kennedy left after three innings because of a right foot contusion.
