Things never looked good for the Royals on Tuesday night as they were blasted by the Minnesota Twins 13-3. The loss puts them in jeopardy of a sweep tomorrow afternoon.
The game spiraled for Kansas City in the bottom of the first inning. Following a lead-off double from Willi Castro, the Twins plated three runs on a single and throwing error from Maikel Garcia.
The Royals, however, answered back in the top of the second on a long home run off the bat of MJ Melendez. Truth be told, it was the only point in the game where Kansas City had hope.
