The Royals scored early in this one putting across two in the first. Ben Zobrist led off with a double and moved to third on Lorenzo Cain‘s single. After Cain got picked off trying to steal second, Zobrist was able to score on Eric Hosmer‘s sacrifice fly. Kendrys Morales walked and moved to third on Mike Moustakas‘ single. Alex Rios was able to hit a single as well to score Morales and the Royals ended the inning up 2-0.
