Baseball is back on Valentine’s Day.
The Royals revealed on Tuesday that pitchers and catchers will report to spring training in Surprise, Ariz., on Feb. 14. The announcement included a slew of other key dates for their camp schedule.
The club will hold its first workout for pitchers and catchers on Feb. 15. The rest of the players will report to camp on Feb. 17 before the first full-squad workout on Feb. 18.
The 35-game Cactus League schedule will begin on Feb. 25 at Surprise Stadium, where the Royals will open as the road team against the Texas Rangers, their co-tenant in Surprise.
