Royals Acquire RHP Trevor Oaks, INF Erick Mejia in Three-Team Trade

The Kansas City Royals, Chicago White Sox and Los Angeles Dodgers completed a three-team, five-player trade on Thursday. The Royals acquired RHP Trevor Oaks and INF Erick Mejia in exchange for LHP Scott Alexander, RHP Joakim Soria and cash considerations. The Dodgers then acquired INF Jake Peter from the White Sox in exchange for Soria, LHP Luis Avilán and cash considerations.

Oaks, a 24-year-old pitcher from Riverside, Calif., has been added to the Royals’ 40-man roster. He pitched at Triple-A Oklahoma City for most of 2017, going 4–3 with a 3.
