The Kansas City Royals announced today that they have inked outfielder/designated hitter Brandon Moss to a two-year free agent contract with a mutual option for the 2019 season. Per club policy, terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
Moss, 33, hit .225/.300/.484 with 28 home runs and 67 RBI in 464 plate appearances for St. Louis in 2016. His 28 homers were the second-highest total of his career, behind his 30-home run season with Oakland in 2013. Of his 28 home runs, 11 came in the seventh inning or later, tied for the fourth most in the National League.
