The Royals have agreed to a two-year, $12 million deal with infielder/outfielder Brandon Moss, according to multiple reports.
The deal, which the club has not confirmed, is pending a physical. Yahoo's Jeff Passan reported the physical will happen this week.
The 33-year-old Moss hit .225/.300/.484 with 28 home runs and 67 RBIs in 128 games last season with the Cardinals and figures to replace departed designated hitter Kendrys Morales.
Moss, a left-handed batter, is a .241/.319/.455 career hitter with 138 homers in 10 years with the Red Sox, Pirates, Phillies, A's, Indians and Cardinals.
