ARLINGTON, Texas
July is over. Finally.
Dillon Gee allowed two homers in six innings as the Royals fell to the Texas Rangers 5-3 on Sunday afternoon at Globe Life Park.
Kansas City dropped 49-55 on the season while matching its lowest victory total ever (7) in the month of July. The Royals were swept in a four-game series here in Texas for the first time since 2010.
They fell behind 4-1 in the first four innings as the Rangers offense hit Gee with a pair of two-run homers. They didn’t have the offense to come back.
