SURPRISE, Ariz. -- The Royals reassigned six players to Minor League camp on Friday, moments after manager Ned Yost hailed that core of players as the next wave of big league talent.
Infielders Hunter Dozier (No. 2 prospect) and Ramon Torres, outfielders Jorge Bonifacio (No. 12) and Bubba Starling, catcher Cam Gallagher (No. 30) and right-handed pitcher Andrew Edwards (No. 23) were all optioned to Triple-A Omaha.
"Dozier, Gallagher, Torres, they're all guys that are big league-ready right now," Yost said shortly before the announcement was made.
