MLB.com announced the Arizona Fall League Top Prospects Team Monday morning, and it included Royals outfield prospect Nick Heath.
Heath, 25, led the AFL in stolen bases (13) and runs (21), and hit .338 (26-for-77) with a .427 on-base percentage in 21 games with the Surprise Saguaros.
The team, selected by league managers and coaches, recognizes players who distinguished themselves against other top prospects throughout the AFL. Voters were asked to consider not only a player’s AFL performance, but also their Major League projectability.
Heath played in 90 games between Advanced-A Wilmington and Double-A Northwest Arkansas in 2018, and led Royals farmhands with a career-high 39 stolen bases.
