Kansas City skipper Ned Yost spoke with the media in advance of the Royals’ Saturday night contest against the Houston Astros.
Ryan O’Hearn has been dynamite at the plate over his last 17 games, batting .319 (15-for-47) with nine runs scored, two doubles, six homers and nine RBI since August 25. Ned said the second-year slugger is seeing the ball better and using the whole field more so than in the earlier part of the season. O’Hearn struggled in the first part of his campaign, and according to Ned during that period the 26-year-old’s timing at the plate was off, an aspect that he’s corrected recently.
