Ned Yost met with the media ahead of Monday night’s game against the Chicago White Sox.
Despite ending April on a nine-game losing streak, Kansas City’s longest since 2012, Yost said that spirits are still high in the clubhouse, believing that a negative attitude will not accomplish anything.
Yost also said that most players are putting in extra work and he says it’s slowly paying off with better at-bats and gradually increasing offensive production.
Lastly, Yost said that he has a lot of confidence in tonight’s starter Jason Vargas, especially in Vargas’ signature changeup.
