Manager Ned Yost addressed the media in the Royals’ interview room ahead of the club’s weekend series opener against the Chicago White Sox.
Ned provided an update on Danny Duffy, who was hit by a comebacker in yesterday’s loss to the Red Sox. Ned said Duffy is a little sore and swollen, and will be evaluated on a day-to-day basis. Duffy will receive an extra day of rest because of Kansas City’s off day on Monday, and the club will continue to monitor his progress.
Jorge Soler homered and hit an RBI double in the ninth yesterday, and Ned said those are the kinds of at bats he likes to see from the young slugger.
