Ned’s Notes: April 28

Related Topics: Eric Hosmer, Ned Yost

Ned Yost met with the media before Friday night’s game against the Twins.

Yost said that despite the continued offensive woes, he is pleased with the improved offensive approach from Eric Hosmer, and the continued consistency from Lorenzo Cain and Mike Moustakas.

Yost added that Ian Kennedy, who pitches tonight, has been very effective due to his ability to command pitches and change speeds. Kennedy is 0–2 on the season, but owns a 2.08 ERA (6 ER in 26 IP) in four starts this season.

Lastly, Yost talked about the arrival of Jorge Bonifacio, who makes his Kauffman Stadium debut tonight.
