Royals Baseball Insider recently caught up with Adalberto Mondesi to discuss his experience in 2015, when he became the first player in Major League history to debut in the World Series, and to talk about his regular season debut in 2016.
Q: In 2015, you became the first player ever to debut in the World Series. What was that like for you?
A: It was something incredible. I didn’t know I was going to be activated. I was in Arizona [at the Royals Player Development Complex]. I was working out down there just in case something happened.
