The Royals clinched their first World Series championship since 1985 on Sunday night in New York, and now they will bring the celebration back to Kansas City.
The team's championship parade is scheduled for Tuesday, beginning at 12 p.m. CT. The 2.3-mile route through downtown Kansas City will start on Grand Boulevard between the Sprint Center and the Power & Light District, and it will end up in front of Union Station after circling through the downtown business district.
"Oh, that is going to be so sweet," said Alex Gordon, the longest-tenured Royal. "I know what Kansas City has been through.
