Listen. KC Royals infielder Whit Merrifield is a nice young man (I assume).
He’s a reasonably good ballplayer (I suppose).
And he’s not an All-Star (I am certain).
When the KC Royals were good, this was kind of fun. Even though he wasn’t particularly good in 2015, Alcides Escobar, All-Star, was fun. #VoteOmar was a little less fun, considering he was pretty garbage at the time, but Omar Infante was and is a pretty likable guy and hey, the team was still good and he was a part of that, so that counts for something.
