The MLB All-Star Game brought a light night in minor league baseball, as the Lexington Legends were the only KC Royals minor league team in action.
The Legends lost their series opener in Delmarva, 18-6. They actually led 2-1 heading into the bottom of the 3rd inning.
It was a rough night for the Legends pitchers and it began with starter Scott Blewett. He allowed eight runs (seven earned) on six hits and two walks over 3.2 innings. He struck out four, but allowed a two out, three-run home run in the 3rd inning.
