Omaha lost their series opener to Iowa, 6-3.
It was just a one run game heading into the top of the ninth, but Louis Coleman allowed an RBI double (which could have been worse, but Brett Eibner threw a runner out at third base) and a solo home run. Coleman allowed those two runs on three hits and a walk over two innings. He struck out three.
After Clayton Mortensen allowed four runs on seven hits and a walk over the first four innings, Buddy Baumann was dominant in relief for Omaha.
