Omaha opened up their series in Nashville with a 4-3 victory. With the game tied in the eighth, Dusty Coleman doubled in the go ahead run (he also hit a solo home run in the third).
Casey Coleman earned the win in relief. He walked one over 2.2 scoreless innings while striking out three. John Lamb made the start and allowed three runs on five hits over six innings. He struck out two and allowed a two out, two-run homer in the fourth that gave the Sounds the brief lead.
