The KC Royals will ask spot starter Chris Young to recapture the momentum in the 2015 World Series.
The 6’10” 36-year-old Chris Young was the ultimate “spare part” for the Kansas City Royals in the 2015 season. He appeared in 34 games, starting 18. Young stepped into the KC Royals rotation in mid-May when the team lost three starters to injury and returned to the bullpen when the Royals acquired Johnny Cueto at the trade deadline.
When Jeremy Guthrie broke down in the second half, Chris Young returned to the rotation to help the Kansas City Royals nail down home field advantage in the final week of the season.
