Kansas City Royals Shut Down Toronto Blue Jays in 3-0 Victory

It may not have been exactly the type of start that Danny Duffy typically had last year, but for the Kansas City Royals, it was still an encouraging step in the right direction. Duffy pitched six shutout innings while the bullpen took care of the rest in the Royals 3-0 victory over the Toronto Blue Jays.

Kansas City got on the board in the bottom of the second. Salvador Perez led off the inning with a base hit to left center, and moved to second on a groundout. Alex Rios followed with a double to the gap in left center, plating Perez with the game’s first run.
