Daniel Lynch was drafted by the Kansas City Royals with the 34th pick in the compensatory round of the 2018 June MLB Amateur Draft. After beginning his career with the Burlington Royals, he quickly ascended out of the rookie leagues, becoming a member of the Lexington Legends.
By the Numbers – Burlington
In Burlington, Lynch made just three starts. In his 11.1 innings of work, he yielded an ERA of 1.59. During those three games, his K/9 rate sat at 11.12, and his BB/9 was 1.59. It’s no wonder he was moved up less than a month after he was assigned to the rookie leagues.
