Ichiro Suzuki, CC Sabathia, Billy Wagner elected to the Hall of Fame

The Baseball Writers of America announced they have elected Ichiro Suzuki, CC Sabathia, and Billy Wagner as their 2025 Hall of Fame inductees. Former Royals outfielder Carlos Beltrán fell short of selection on his third year of eligibility.

Ichiro Suzuki came to MLB after a prolific nine-year career in Japan where he was a three-time MVP. He spent 19 years playing in MLB with the Mariners, Yankees, and Marlins, winning MVP and Rookie of the Year in his first season, and earning ten All-Star appearances. He was a ten-time Gold Glove winner, a two-time batting champ, and he set the MLB record for hits in a season with 262 in 2004.
