The Royals announced reliever Hunter Harvey will be placed on the Injured List with a right teres major strain and the team has called up pitcher Steven Cruz.
Harvey battled back injuries last year with the Royals that cost him most of the final two months of the season. He returned healthy this year and looked better than ever allowing just one hit with no walks in 5 1/3 innings, striking out 5 of the 17 batters he faced. He became the seventh inning man, giving the Royals a dynamic trio in the late innings with Lucas Erceg and Carlos Estévez.
