We are a little over a third of the way through the season, and that seems like a good point to look back a bit and see what has changed and by how much. One of the ways to do that by examining changes in projections from the preseason. You could use rest-of-season projections, but the cumulative nature of some of the stats makes that a partial year versus a full year, which I am not a fan of. ZIPS has a solution for this in the ZIPS (Update) model, that basically re-runs the preseason projection for a full season, but adjusted by adding in this season’s data.
