Gore steal overturned by Astros' challenge

HOUSTON -- The Astros won their biggest challenge of the season, as they got out of a pivotal jam in the top of the seventh inning on an overturned call in Game 4 of the American League Division Series at Minute Maid Park on Monday afternoon.

With Royals pinch-runner Terrance Gore representing the tying run at second base and Alex Rios at the plate against reliever Will Harris with two outs, Gore broke for third base on a stolen-base attempt and was initially ruled safe by third-base umpire Lance Barksdale, as he beat the throw to third from catcher Jason Castro.
