The Royals acquired OF Jorge Soler from the Cubs during the Winter Meetings last week in exchange for RHP Wade Davis. On Tuesday, the Royals introduced Soler to the media at Kauffman Stadium.
Soler, a native of Havana, Cuba, was signed to a nine-year deal by Chicago in 2012. He will remain under control in Kansas City for four more season, through 2020.

During parts of three seasons in Chicago, Soler hit .258/.328/.434 with 27 home runs and 98 RBI in 211 games.
