KANSAS CITY -- Royals right-hander Dillon Gee was back in the clubhouse Sunday morning and was feeling relieved that his blood clot issue was being resolved.
Gee had remained in Detroit last Sunday after experiencing dizziness after the game. Doctors there determined he had a blood clot in his right shoulder area and several small ones in his lungs.
"Some of them were in my lungs," Gee said. "I had one large one in the subclavian vein, and that was taken out. The lung ones are treated with blood thinners, and they just go away.
