Game XXXII: Royals v. Rays

Entering yesterday’s double-header, the Royals had lost their last 12 games against the now first-place Tampa Bay Rays. They ended that streak by sweeping the double-header, taking the first game 3-2 on the back of Jakob Junis and tagging reigning Cy Young award winner Blake Snell for seven earned runs across just 3.0 innings of work in a 8-5 game two win.

This afternoon, the Royals send Danny Duffy to the mound looking to win their first series against the Rays since May of 2017. That series, also a four-game set, ended with Jason Vargas and his 1.
