A representative for Ventura told MLB.com's Jesse Sanchez that a contingent of the Royals' front office arrived at the Ventura home in Las Terrenas, D.R., around 10 a.m. local time (9 a.m. ET). The club's traveling party was expected to include general manager Dayton Moore, assistant general manager Rene Francisco and club president Dan Glass. Manager Ned Yost and coach Pedro Grifol were also to be in attendance.
Several players were expected to attend, according to Francisco, including Eric Hosmer, Salvador Perez and Alcides Escobar, as well as former Royal Jarrod Dyson and free agent Greg Holland.
