The Kansas City Royals organization will be well-represented at the South Atlantic League All-Star Game, as four members of the Lexington Legends were named to the Southern Division roster.
Kansas City’s top-two picks from the 2017 First-Year Player Draft — first baseman Nick Pratto and catcher MJ Melendez — were selected to play in the SAL All-Star Game on June 19 in Greensboro, N.C.
Pratto and Melendez will be joined by slugging outfielder Seuly Matias and catcher Sebastian Rivero.
Matias leads all of Minor League Baseball in home runs as of June 5 with 17 in 150 at-bats, hitting .
