Playing in their first postseason game in 29 years, the Kansas City Royals twice erased deficits, forced extra innings and advanced to the American League Division Series when Sal Perez drove home the winning run in the 12th inning of a 9-8 victory over the Oakland A’s on Tuesday night at Kauffman Stadium.
