CLEVELAND -- Royals manager Ned Yost confirmed Wednesday what left-hander Danny Duffy told MLB.com on Tuesday night, that Duffy indeed will be shut down for the rest of 2018 because of a left shoulder impingement.

The injury is the same one that put Duffy on the disabled list Aug. 13. Duffy faced seven batters Tuesday night against the Indians before leaving the game.
