Royals Opening Day starter Danny Duffy worked four strong innings in his final tuneup before Monday's opener. Duffy gave up three hits, walked none and struck out two.
"I'm just happy to be leaving Arizona with a sub-9.00 ERA," Duffy said, who had a 4.30 ERA this spring. "Everything feels good. But it's time to take it home."
Carlos Gomez, who had been sidelined for eight days with a jammed left shoulder, was 2-for-4 in his return to the Rangers' lineup.
"I felt good, really good," Gomez said. "Four at-bats, full game, swung at high pitches, low pitches, it felt really good.
