KANSAS CITY -- Danny Duffy struggled to find consistent footing on Saturday afternoon against the Astros, a problem that has plagued him for much of this season.
The left-hander allowed six runs and seven hits in six innings in a 10-2 loss at Kauffman Stadium. He settled in briefly after a rocky start before laboring again in his final two frames.
Duffy allowed the first three batters he faced to reach base safely. After a leadoff walk to George Springer and a single by Alex Bregman, Jose Altuve drove in both with a double, opening up a 2-0 lead before Duffy could record an out.
