Burlington Royals outfielder David Hollie was named the Appalachian League Player of the Week for the period of July 15–21, as announced by MiLB.com on Monday.
Hollie batted .467/.667/1.333 (7-for-15) in five games for the Burlington Royals, with 10 runs scored, a double, four homers, seven RBI, four walks and a stolen base. The Royals went 5–2 over the week, including 4–1 in the games that Hollie played in. The highlight of Hollie’s week was a 2-for-3 performance in Burlington’s 9–4 win over Bluefield on July 17. He also matched his single-game career highs in both RBI (four) and extra-base-hits (two), hitting a three-run homer in the fourth and an RBI double in the seventh.
