KANSAS CITY -- Welington Castillo, green-lighted on a 3-0 fastball, ripped a two-run double to spark a three-run rally in the eighth inning as the White Sox rallied for a 4-3 win over the Royals on Saturday night at Kauffman Stadium.
The rally started with a home run by Yoan Moncada off reliever Brandon Maurer, who was handed a 3-1 lead. Later, with runners on second and third, Castillo slammed a shot over the head of right fielder Jon Jay.
Former Royals right-hander Joakim Soria held on in the ninth for his first save with the White Sox.
