ST. LOUIS (AP) -- The St. Louis Cardinals have placed right-hander Lance Lynn on the 15-day disabled list with a forearm strain and will recall lefty Tyler Lyons to start Saturday against the Kansas City Royals.

General manager John Mozeliak was optimistic Friday that Lynn would be ready to rejoin the rotation in 15 days.
