CHICAGO -- It has become almost redundant to mention great catch and Royals center fielder Lorenzo Cain in the same sentence.
But Cain was back at it on Tuesday night at U.S. Cellular Field with a terrific catch up against the center-field wall in the second inning.
White Sox outfielder Trayce Thompson sent a laser shot toward the 400-foot sign in center and Cain raced back, leaped and caught the ball as he crashed into the fence. Cain's glove squeezed the ball on the yellow line -- it probably would have bounced off for extra bases.
