Boulevard Brewing Co. is going to bat for the Royals.
Simon Thorpe, the president of the company that owns the Kansas City brewery, has accepted a bet with Brooklyn Brewery co-founder Steve Hindy. According to a post about the bet on brooklynbrewery.com, the losing city’s brewery must pour the winning city’s beer from their taps for one week following the Royals-Mets World Series. Thorpe and Hindy have also agreed that the loser of the bet must wear the opposing team’s ball cap and “toast the victor with their representative beer.”
According to a post about the bet on Brooklyn Brewery’s website, “the pride and pints of both cities are on the line.
