The Arizona Fall League began its 27th season on Tuesday. The Royals sent seven prospects to be featured on the Surprise Saguaros roster.
Two of them were in the starting lineup for Surprise’s first game, a 10–8 loss to Salt River.
Center fielder Khalil Lee, the Royals’ u21161 prospect according to MLB.com, walked and stole second base in the third inning, and singled and scored in the ninth.
Lee was also credited with an outfield assist in the fourth inning, throwing out Arizona prospect Drew Ellis at home plate (8–3–1).
