Third baseman Mauricio Ramos went 2-for-4 in Surprise’s 3–1 win over Glendale on Thursday. Ramos’ RBI double capped a three-run first inning for the Saguaros offense and marked his first RBI since October 26. He has four hits over his last two games after recording just three hits in his previous six games combined.
LHP Eric Stout faced the minimum over two scoreless innings to record his second hold and lower his Arizona Fall League ERA to 1.64 (2 ER in 11.0 IP), which ranks eighth among qualified pitchers.
The Surprise Saguaros are now 13–12–1, one game behind Peoria (13–10–2) for first place in the AFL West division with six games remaining.
