Looking to avoid two loses in one day, the Royals got off to a quick start against Blue Jays 26th man Joe Biagini, loading the bases with nobody out in the first inning. But then in a somewhat unsurprising way, one run was all that came out of the development.
The Royals grabbed a second run in the following inning, via a Mike Moustakas double. The Royals would get their third run in the sixth inning, with Abraham Almonte somehow hitting a home run.
One of the bigger positives in this game was Danny Duffy. In easily his best effort on the mound this season, Duffy fired six scoreless frames, striking out eight and walking three.
