Alex Gordon Wins 2018 Fielding Bible Award

The Fielding Bible Awards, recognized as being tougher to win than a Gold Glove because only one award is given for each position in Major League Baseball, were announced on Monday by John Dewan, co-author of The Fielding Bible and long-time collaborator with Bill James in the development of statistical analysis in baseball known as Sabermetrics.

Royals left fielder Alex Gordon was named a Fielding Bible Award winner for the fourth time (also: 2012–14). Gordon joins Andrelton Simmons (SS), Mookie Betts (RF), Javier Baez (Multi-Position) and Lorenzo Cain (CF) as this year’s repeat winners.
