Yet another Spring Training game is in the books as Kansas City took down Seattle 9-6. What happened?
- Michael Lorenzen worked three innings in his Spring Training debut. He struck out three batters, all on changeups while garnering four whiffs on the pitch. He threw it six times so that’s a meaty whiff rate. His four-seamer topped out at 94.5. His lone blemish came on that pitch when Julio Rodríguez took one at the top of the zone out to left-center for a homer.
- Kris Bubic mixed eight sinkers and four cutters amongst his 38 pitches, which is interesting because I didn’t know he threw those.
